Steuerrecht.com is a boutique, ten-person tax law and litigation firm that competes against institutions with far greater resources, often without in-house departments for marketing, contract drafting, or research support. Founder Sebastian Korts needed a way to serve more clients and increase visibility without expanding headcount, while keeping the firm's high standards on complex tax cases and litigation.
The firm adopted ChatGPT Business to build a set of "virtual departments" using custom GPTs: a weekly tax-crime-law blog and LinkedIn content for marketing, automated templates for generating routine contracts (e.g. CEO employment agreements, company formation documents), AI-assisted legal research and counter-argument drafting for articles and court submissions, a searchable internal library of text modules and templates, and AI-assisted translation of complex legal analysis across languages and audiences (clients, judges, foreign executives).
Legal work that once took days is now completed in hours or minutes: researching supervisory board meeting requirements dropped from three to four hours to minutes, drafting court submissions against tax authorities dropped from a full day to about ten minutes before final legal review, and responding to lengthy tax office filings dropped from up to three days to a few hours. Founder Sebastian Korts reports saving up to 10 hours of work per week, time redirected toward client acquisition and growth.
